The Village of Dupo operates its own Water Treatment plant located on Coulter road. The water treatment plant is maintained by 3 qualified class “A”

Illinois State licensed employees. The Village of Dupo water treatment plant started operations in 1994 as a state of the art “lime softening”

plant. The Village of Dupo water department currently has 1,960 service taps, 260 fire hydrants and 4 water tanks with one being a clear well. We

operate 7 days a week performing daily water samplings, repairing water mains and installing new water service lines in addition to customer service

and meter readings. Our water tanks hold 1 million gallons. Our average daily usage is 345,000 gallons. A typical household in the United States

uses 240 gallons of water daily.

We are members of the Illinois Rural Water Association. The Village of Dupo Water Treatment plant was selected runner up plant of the year in 2013
